OUR STORY

ABOUT INLET SHUCKS

Inlet Shucks is a family owned business located in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina - 13 miles south of Myrtle Beach.

In 2020, my love for shelling and painting collided.  I began to paint and design oyster shells for my own personal enjoyment.  What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a business as friends and family requested shells of their own.

Since then, Inlet Shucks has expanded its line of products to include paintings, apparel, and other accessories.  We are so glad to have been able to share these products with people from across the world!

MEET THE ARTIST

Inlet Shucks was founded by our artist, Angela Andrew!

Angela was born in Dillon, South Carolina but currently resides in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina with her husband and two dogs - Stanley and Reny.  She has two boys: Dylan, who recently graduated from Coastal Carolina University and Carson, who is a current student.

Angela graduated from Dillon High School and also the University of South Carolina with plans to return to her hometown, but she says God had other plans for her life. She moved to Aynor, South Carolina and has worked in the medical field and started her own photography business which she has had for 20 years.

Angela says she is guilty of always looking for new adventures.  So, when she moved to Murrells Inlet in 2018, it was natural for her to pick up a new hobby of painting her family's freshly harvested oyster shells.  This small hobby quickly turned into a business and she began to pursue the idea that is now Inlet Shucks.

Angela loves the beach, shelling, boating, and most of all her family.  She hopes that her shells, painting, and other items will bring a piece of Murrells Inlet to you and your home!
